PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provides a PDP and its manufacturing method, in which connection work of a tip pipe with exhaust equipment is easy, there is no unevenness of the exhausting state, which originates in the distance from the tip pipe in an electric discharging space, there are few increases in weight and in thickness of the whole panel, and moreover, its manufacturing is easy. SOLUTION: Two or more penetration holes 12L and 12R, which leads the front and back sides, are formed to the outside of a display domain to a backside glass substrate 2. A ventilation conduit 17, which has a box shape of non-bottom and roofed, and has the structure, in which it covers the penetration holes 12L and 12R circulating peripheral edge of the backside glass substrate 2 like a corridor shape, and its internals space continues in endless without the exception of a starting end and a terminal end, is adhered with airtight on the opposite side surface to the electric discharge space 4. And, one tip pipe 13G is attached by welding in the side wall of the ventilation conduit 17 in the direction parallel to the backside glass substrate 2. The tip pipe 13G and the ventilation conduit 17 are integrated in one beforehand. The exhaust resistance of the ventilation conduit 17 is made smaller than the exhaust resistance of the electric discharge space 4.
