PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stereoscopic photographing device capable of always realizing stereoscopic photography with a stereoscopic effect in the case of attaching an adapter to a camera and performing stereoscopic photography. SOLUTION: This stereoscopic photographing device is provided with an automatic exposure mechanism; a detection means for detecting whether or not the stereoscopic adapter is attached to the camera; and a diaphragm value setting means for setting the size of a diaphragm by the automatic exposure mechanism to be equal to or above a specified F value when the detection means detects that the stereoscopic adapter is attached to the camera.
