PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network connected pet robot system capable of easily and rapidly receiving a program of a pet robot for controlling movements of the pet robot from a contents providing server by an IP connection. SOLUTION: The pet robot 1 performs communication with the contents providing server 8 from a wireless LAN slave unit via a wireless LAN master unit 2, a D-channel 3 of the ISDN line, a switching equipment 5, and the IP network 7. The robot 1 receives the pet robot program and data transmitted from the contents providing server 8 by the wireless slave unit, and updates corresponding pet robot program and data stored in a non-volatile RAM by the received pet robot program and data.
