PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna element mounting structure that can accurately position an antenna electrode and can obtain high reliability in antenna characteristics. SOLUTION: The antenna element mounting structure comprises a printed circuit board 2, an antenna element 4 made of a square pole shaped dielectric that is arranged on a surface 2a of the printed circuit board 2, an antenna electrode 5 that is provided at each side of the antenna element 4, and a shield cover 3 that is mounted to a rear 2b of the printed circuit board 2. The antenna element 4 is soldered to a land section on the printed circuit board 2. In this case, each projecting piece 3a that is extended from each of the two sidewalls of the shield cover 3 is brought into contact with the two adjacent sides of the antenna element 4 while being inserted into a through hole 2d of the printed circuit board 2, and at the same time a pin 10 for mounting is inserted into pin insertion holes 2e1 and 2e2 of the printed circuit board 2 to come into contact with the side of the antenna element 4.
