PURPOSE: A control method of a mobile communication terminal in an emergency situation is provided to request an emergency call efficiently by minimize power consumption of a mobile terminal and by selecting a special button or a special menu of the mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: When a user pushes a special button or selects a special menu(1S), a terminal discriminates whether an emergency situation occurs(2S). When the terminal recognizes the emergency situation, the terminal is simultaneously entered into a power save mode and an emergency call mode(4S,5S). If the emergency situation does not occur, the terminal is entered into a normal mode(3S). In a case of the power save mode, the terminal is set to perform one or more of a pilot search mode(6S), a terminal slot mode(7S), an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and back-light off(8S), and all key operation off of a call function(9S). |
