PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the drawback in a conventional permanent magnet rotary electric machine that vibration and noises are generated because an imbalance of electromagnetic force is present in a radial direction. SOLUTION: This permanent magnet rotary electric machine consists of a stator consisting of three, four, five or six pieces of stator magnetic poles each of which has a plurality of magnetic teeth at the ends thereof, has respective phases of two, three or five phases wound thereon, and extends radically from a circular magnetic body, and two pairs of rotors which are provided on the stator in an axial direction via a cavity. Each of the pairs of rotors consists of two rotor elements which are spaced each other in the axial direction, and a permanent magnet which is sandwiched by the two elements and is magnetized in the axial direction, each of the elements has a plurality (Nr) of small teeth on its external circumferential surface, the two element of each of the pair are so arranged as to be deviated each other in a circumferential direction of 1/2 pitch of a small tooth, and the pairs of rotors are arranged so that the element of the two pairs which are adjacent each other may have the same polarity of the small teeth. The Nr is 3n±1, 4n±1 or 6n±1 (where n means a positive integer).
