PURPOSE: An electronic business card service apparatus of a mobile communication terminal and a method therefor are provided to manage information of an electronic business card easily by linking an XML language with a telephone number database. CONSTITUTION: An XML(eXtensible Makeup Language) parser(100) analyzes information on an electronic business card received through an SMS(Short Message Service). A document type change unit(200) changes information of the electronic business card type into information of telephone number type. A menu processing unit(300) processes a menu selection required for the business card information transmission and menu relating to a search and a revise. A telephone book(400) stores and outputs the electronic business card information changed through the document type change unit and performs searching and revising operations of the business card information. A database(500) stores information of the business card and the telephone number.
