PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP with a new cell structure having superior light emission efficiency. SOLUTION: In this new cell structure, a main face for contributing to discharges on a display electrode X is disposed in facing to a main face of an adjacent display electrode Y with a gas space in between by forming a conductive film 41, which will form display electrodes X and Y, on the surface of the side portions of ribs 16, and power supply portions 42 extending to plural cells on the display electrodes X and Y are formed on the upper surfaces of the ribs 16, and also the display electrodes X and Y are coated respectively with a dielectric layer 17 of which the thickness is larger at the top portions as well as smaller in the side portions of the ribs 16. |
