PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chucking device that can fix a flexible thin plate by holding side ends from both sides, prevent deformation of the thin plate by chucking and is reduced in size and production cost. SOLUTION: A housing 1 is formed such that a thin plate 201 is supported between side walls 3 where both ends 202, 202 protrude outside from the upper ends of the side walls 3. Arms 7L, 7R are attached on the side walls so that they are ready to receive the extremities of the thin plate between hook parts 8, 8 at the top end position, then the extremities of the thin plate are pressed between hook parts at the low end position and the top edge parts of the hooks are in contact with the upper surface of the thin plate. The elastic force of each spring 15 is adjusted bigger than the force that lowers a second block 16 by an actuator 20 and smaller than the force that transforms the upper surface of the thin plate by pressing the top edges of the hook parts.
