PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insert molding process which enables a resin molded product sufficiently sealing an insert to be formed, by inhibiting the generation of a residual unfused part attributed to a retaining pin, while restraining the positional deviation of the insert, and to provide an insert molding device. SOLUTION: The insert molding device comprises a mold 1 having a cavity 13 where the insert 5 is arranged, and the retaining pins 2 which are installed in the mold 1 in a freely advancing/receding manner and protrude into the cavity 13 to retain the insert 5 and recede from the cavity 13 when the cavity 13 is filled with a molten resin. In addition, each of the retaining pins 2 is equipped with a heating means consisting of an electric heater 3 which heats each of the retaining pins 2 at a temperature level above the melting point of the molten resin at least when the cavity 13 is filled with the molten resin. |
