PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save on power by decreasing working ratio with a set temperature remaining as it is without charging load on an air conditioner or the like. SOLUTION: In this power control method, power is controlled by turning on or off a power supply of the air conditioner, a refrigerator, or the like. When a temperature is in a predetermined range and ON/OFF control is performed, switching from OFF to ON is detected, the power supply is forcibly returned to OFF on detecting the switching, and the power supply is switched to ON after a predetermined period.
