The device is fitted inside a mast and can be used to vertically raise an upper mast part (3), which is separate from a lower mast part (1). It consists of two coaxial tubes that can be moved with respect to each other by a lifting arrangement, i.e. a guide tube (4) and a bearer tube (5). The bearer tube can be connected to the upper mast part at two or more levels via frames (11) and/or tensioned cables (6).
