LIGHT DEFLECTING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING DEVICE USING THE SAME AND ITS DRIVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that an image is fluctuated in relation to the fluctuation of the amplitude, the phase and the offset of a light deflector for displaying the image by reciprocative scanning with a light beam. SOLUTION: This light deflecting device has a means for measuring the passage time of the light beam made to perform the reciprocative scanning at a specified position on a scanning line, calculating delay time data corresponding to the time lag in the reciprocative scanning of the deflector with reference to the driving signal of the deflector from the values of two kinds of measured passage time in the case of moving forth and moving back in the scanning, and further calculating timing data corresponding to the modulation start time or finish time of the light beam in one scanning cycle.
