PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply manufacturing inorganic fiber bonded ceramics bonded body without using a pressing device having excellent fracture resistance, heat resistance, surface smoothness, and bonding strength. SOLUTION: The method is composed of bonding bodies selected from (A) an inorganic fiber bonded ceramic comprising an inorganic fiber mainly comprising Si, M, C, and O, an inorganic substance, and a boundary layer mainly comprising C, (B) an inorganic fiber bonded ceramic comprising an inorganic fiber mainly comprising a sintered structure of SiC and containing a specific metal and a boundary layer mainly comprising C, and (C) a body comprising a metal, a ceramic, or an inorganic composite material, where at least one is (A) or (B), by placing an intermediate material comprising a Si, a Si compound, or a ceramic between bodies to be bonded, fixing them with a fixing device made of a material having a smaller thermal expansion coefficient than the bodies to be bonded, and utilizing an internal stress generated by a difference of thermal expansivities of the bodies to be bonded and the fixing device for bonding.
