A regulating device has two valves for controlling the flow of coolants into a cylinder head (10) of a coolant conduit and a cylinder block (11) of a coolant channel, so as to regulate the temperature of the cylinder head and the cylinder block. An independent claim is included for internal combustion engine cooling method.
