PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-based preparation for external use containing a component such as glycyrrhetinic acid, a glycyrrhetinic acid derivative, allantoin, an allantoin derivative, tocopherol and a tocopherol derivative in combination with a water-soluble active component or a fat-soluble active component, having excellent storage stability, resistant to the coagulation and liquid-separation of the component, easily spreadable on the skin, compatible to the skin and giving good feeling in use and provide an oil-based preparation for external use containing a water-soluble active component in combination with a fat- soluble active component, capable of stably keeping both components, fully exhibiting the effect of both components and having high effectiveness. SOLUTION: A fatty acid dextrin or a hydroxystearic acid derivative is added to an oil-based external preparation containing an oily base to obtain a preparation capable of stably keeping the component in the preparation, smoothly releasing the fat-soluble component from the oil-based preparation and giving excellent feeling in use.
