PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall finishing material which does not generate poisonous gas during burning like a vinyl wall paper does, has soft and voluminous feeling and an uneven pattern without causing deformation, and has the excellent emboss processability and workability, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The wall finishing material comprises a mixed sheet (1) comprising cotton fiber and synthetic fiber, and a lining paper (2) for wall paper which is laminated on the back face of the mixed sheet. An uneven pattern (3) formed by embossing is formed on the front face side of the mixed sheet. The mixed sheet in which the lining paper for wall paper is laminated on the back face thereof and a water repellent treatment layer and a synthetic resin coating layer are formed on the front face thereof as necessary can be manufactured by being passed between a heated emboss roll and back roll and applied the emboss process.
