<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball bearing excellent in rigidity without imparting a large preload and its design method. SOLUTION: The diameter DW of a ball 3, the outside diameter D of the bearing, the inside diameter d, and the pitch circle diameter DPW of the ball 3 are set up so that the following formulae (1): DPW<=(D-d)/2 and (2): 0.5<=DW/ (D-d)/2}<=0.8 (2) are satisfied and the groove bottom thickness T1 of the inside ring 1 and the groove bottom thickness T2 of the outside ring 2 are 0.2 mm or larger and when all balls are collected so that adjoining balls are brought into contact with each other, the number of balls is determined so that the angle made by two lines connecting the center of balls positioned at both ends and the bearing center is at most 180 degrees.</p> |
