PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling mechanism for emergency for temporarily driving a traveling vehicle in emergency, when an HST and a controller, or either of the HST and the controller suffer a breakdown in the traveling vehicle provided with the hydraulic-mechanical transmission. SOLUTION: The hydraulic-mechanical transmission, which is controlled by connecting with an electric circuit a hydraulic stepless transmission mechanism (HST21), a planetary gear mechanism 10, a forward-reverse changeover mechanism 16, and a controller 90, is mounted on a traveling vehicle, where an emergency circuit 99 which does not pass via the controller 90 is provided to the electric circuit. When one among the HST21 and the controller 90, the HST21 and the controller 90 suffers a breakdown, the angle of a movable swash plate 22a of a hydraulic pump 22 in the HST21 is set to zero. Furthermore, the engine 20 is rotated to travel, in a state of rotation of a sun gear 1 in the planetary gear mechanism 10 is fixed.
