PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: for example, when a color document is drawn in by a DF (document feeder), the color document is not sometimes drawn in by the DF and is jammed (i.e., paper jamming), because most color printing is usually applied to a sheet material of the color document having a surface which is coated with chemical or the like in advance so that a color image may be formed optimally, and such coating causes a slip or the like. SOLUTION: A scanner A includes a communication part 50 which allows an information processor C to operate the scanner A, a drive part 30 which is an actuator such as a motor to drive the DF when the document placed on a document deck is fed by the DF, a ROM 20 in which a program for controlling the scanner A is stored, and a controller 10 which controls the respective parts to control the entire scanner A.
