A pipeline for the transport of abrasive material has an inner lining and with the space between the inner and outer ducts filled with a vibration damping material. The inner lining is made of ceramic and/or hard- or sintered metal. The inner lining can have any required cross section and is especially positioned at the bends of the pipeline. The filling between the inner and outer ducts can be a free flow granular ceramic, aluminium oxide or any other suitable material. The pipeline can be assembled from sections linked by conventional flanges.
