PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily, safely and efficiently carry out vibrating operation. SOLUTION: In a process for placing concrete 16, the concrete 16 is placed between a form 12 and a wall surface 30 or another form 32 and a vibrating tool 18 with a vibrating part 26 of noncircular cross section is caused to protrude between the form 12 and the wall surface 30 or the another form 32 through an entrance/exit 28 matching the cross-sectional shape of the vibrating part 26 and is inserted into the placed concrete 16; rotation caused by the vibration of the vibrating part 26 is controlled upon the vibrating part 26 making contact with the outer peripheral edge of the entrance/exit 28 while it is vibrating, to make the vibrating tool 18 vibrate the concrete 16 to compact the concrete 16.
