PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colorimeter apparatus that is compact and inexpensive and enables the accurate colorimetery. SOLUTION: The colorimeter comprises a light source 6 for applying light to an object M to be inspected, a light-receiving apparatus 14 having one light reception section 14a for receiving reflection light that is reflected by the object M to be inspected in light that is applied from the light source 6 and an A/D conversion section 14b for converting an analog signal that is obtained from the light reception section 14a by photoelectric conversion to a digital signal, an HSL transformation section for transforming a digital signal that is converted by the A/D conversion section 14b to color element data consisting of hue, lightness, and saturation, a storage 19 for storing the relationship between the color element data and standard color element data corresponding to the color element data in advance, a data extraction section for extracting the standard color element data corresponding to the color element data that are transformed by the HSL transformation section from the storage 19, and a display 4 for displaying the standard color element data that are extracted by the data extraction section.
