The cladding comprises two facade plates one above the other and an insulating plate (12). Between the insulating plate and facade plate is a ventilation cavity (37) connected to further such cavities through recesses (13). The insulating plate is set directly on the wall which is to be clad and is connected to same by adhesive. The recesses are formed as full length vertical grooves in the front side of the insulation plate which faces the facade plate.
