PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulically driven tide device which can be operated during power failure without particularly damaging a landscape of a beach and can be driven remotely. SOLUTION: The tide device is composed of a waterproof plate (2) arranged underground normally and driven onto ground during tide prevention, a frame- like support body (50) provided on the ground in response to the waterproof plate (2) and a drive device for driving the waterproof plate (2) from the underground to the ground. The drive device is composed of a hydraulic piston and cylinder unit (40) actuated by city water. The waterproof plate (2) drives with non-contact up to a prescribed position, and, when it reaches the prescribed position, edge parts (3, 3 and 4) thereof are contacted to the frame-like support body (50).
