PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aromatic compounds having more than one vinylsilyl group to make new synthetic methods and production methods of new resins possible in the field of organic synthesis and other fields. SOLUTION: New vinylsilyl compounds are represented by general formula (wherein, R1 is a vinyl group, R2 is a vinyl group or a 1-6C alkyl group, and n is 1 or 2). Execution of hydrosilylation reaction between the compound of the present invention and a hydrosilane is possible, since a vinylsilyl group bonds with the aromatic. When dihydrosilane is used, polymerization reaction advances and a new organic silicon resin can be obtained. Biodegradable resins can be obtained by producing such resins using the compound having silyl-ether bond as the raw material. The compounds are useful as the ligands of organic metal compounds.
