The radiating film or element, to generate far infra red rays, is of a flexible or rigid material of nonwoven carbon and glass fibers, covered on one or both sides by a bonded or unbonded plastics film. Two longitudinal or lateral edges of the material are fitted with copper ribbons as electrodes, bonded by a coating of a conductive adhesive. The electrodes are connected to a mains power supply. The radiating film or element, to generate far infra red rays, is of a flexible or rigid material of nonwoven carbon and glass fibers. The material has a surface resistance of 3-30 ohm, in a width of 100-1200 mm and a length of 0.1-100.0 m. One or both sides can be covered by a bonded or unbonded plastics film. Two longitudinal or lateral edges of the material are fitted with copper ribbons in a width of 0.5-3.0 cm and a thickness of 0.01-1.0 mm as electrodes, bonded by a coating of a conductive adhesive. The electrodes are connected to a mains power supply of 230-280 V or a low voltage supply of 3-50 V, through a transformer or an electronic unit to give an alternating or direct current up to 60 V. The material gives an output of 5-1000 W/m<2>. |
