The invention concerns an enhanced message service (EMS) which consists in transmitting messages through a radiocommunication network, said EMS messages comprising so-called useful data consisting of a header (TP-UDH) and a data text (TP-UD), the header comprising information elements (IE-insert) to be inserted in the text. The invention is characterized in that the header (TP-UDH) comprises a so-called identifier element (IE-Id) associated with a given information element to be inserted (IE-insert) to be identified, said identifier information element being positioned in the header immediately before said identified element.
