An aqueous hair dye composition is based on an oxidation dye-stuff precursor system containing at least one tetraaminopyrimidine and/or triaminohydroxypyrimidine and/or their water soluble salts and at least one coupling substance comprising resorcinol, 2-methylresorcinol, 4-chlororesorcinol, 2-aminophenol and/or 13 other specifically named compounds. An aqueous hair dye composition (I) is based on an oxidation dye-stuff precursor system containing: (A) at least one tetraaminopyrimidine and/or triaminohydroxypyrimidine and/or their water soluble salts; and (B) at least one coupling substance comprising resorcinol, 2-methylresorcinol, 4-chlororesorcinol and/or 2-aminophenol, 3-aminophenol, 5-amino-2-methylphenol, 6-amino-2-methylphenol, alpha -naphthol and/or 2,5-diaminopyridine, 2,6-diaminopyridine, 2-dimethyl-5-aminopyridine, 3-amino-3-hydroxypyridine, 3-amino-2-methylamino-6-methoxy pyridine and/or their salts and/or 1,3-diaminobenzene, 2-amino-4-hydroxyethyl-aminoanisole and/or 2,4-diaminophenoxyethanol and/or their salts. An Independent claim is included for a method for the dyeing of human hair by mixing an aqueous hair dye composition (I) with an aqueous peroxide composition, application to the hair and rinsing off. |
