摘要 <p>The invention relates to optoelectronics and can be used for information display devices having a high information capacity. The liquid crystalline ferroelectric display cell comprises two transparent dielectric plates disposed in a parallel position with respect to each other. The external surfaces of said dielectric plates are coated with polarising coatings, the internal surfaces thereof being coated with transparent conductive coatings which are disposed from each other at a distance ranging from 0.5 to 3.5 mkm. A transparent anisotropic coating having a thickness equal to or less than 20 nm and provided with structural discontinuities which are stochastically distributed along thereof, is applied to one or both of said conductive coatings. The space between the conductive coatings is filled with a ferroelectric liquid-crystal substance made of a compound which contains a non-chiral smectic C liquid-crystal mixture of substituted phenyl-perimidin and phenyl-benzoate and a chiral additive made of optically active derivatives of terphenyl-dicarbon acid, said additive representing 25-40 % of the total mass of the liquid-crystal substance. The optically active derivatives of a terphenyl-dicarbon acid make it possible to obtain a helix pitch distance higher than 1 mkm and a spontaneous polarisation higher than 50 nanocoulombs/cm2. The liquid-crystal substance contacts directly the conductive coating where the structural discontinuities of the anisotropic coating are disposed. In the second variant, one of the conductive coatings is embodied in such a way that it is reflectable. The composition of the liquid crystal compound is also disclosed.</p>
