<p>Solid oxide fuel cells made by coating a slurry of an electrolyte having limited amount of organic material onto a carrier tape, depositing at least one layer electrode material on tape to support the electrolyte layei, removing the tape, screen printing a second electrode layer on the exposed surface of the electrolyte layer and firing the layers at temperatures of 1100-1300 degrees C. The fired fuel cell can be mounted on an interconnector comprising a base plate 401, grooves 409 formed in one face of the base plate 401, a porous conductive ceramic contact layer 403 between the base plate 401 and the blocking layer 402 or an interconnector having a fired green tape stack being connected by conductive contact vias 606, and air and gas flow channels 604. A sealing glass 610 bonds the overlying layers. to the base plate 600.</p> |
