PURPOSE: A planetary gear set of an automatic transmission is provided to prevent wear of the only portion of a strut washer receiving axial load from a needle roller bearing and to prevent flaking of a pinion shaft. CONSTITUTION: A planetary gear set of an automatic transmission includes a sun gear(4,6); a pinion gear(8,10); a planetary carrier(16); a needle roller bearing(18) and a strut washer(20). The strut washer has a thick portion receiving axial load from the needle roller bearing. Therein, wear of the only portion receiving axial load is prevented though axial load from the pinion gear and the needle roller bearing is different. Four oil grooves are formed to a circumferential surface of the strut washer contacting the planetary carrier. Therein, steel contacting wear is prevented. Consequently, durability of the strut washer is improved.
