PURPOSE: A sliding device of a steering system is provided to easily produce, reduce manufacturing cost, and decrease noise and vibration caused by clearance compensation by having a simplified clearance compensating part to generate an elastic supporting force between inner and outer shafts toward directions of rotation and axial perpendicularity. CONSTITUTION: A sliding device(10) of a steering system is composed of an outer shaft(20) formed with a hollow pipe and having an inner serration(21) formed with a plurality of unevennesses in an axial direction at an inner peripheral surface, an inner shaft(30) having an outer serration(31) inserted into the inside of the outer shaft, engaged with the inner serration at an outer peripheral surface, and to transfer rotary power and axially slide, and a clearance compensating part(40) formed at the front end of the inner shaft inserted into the outer shaft, interlocking with the inner shaft, and supporting elastically the outer shaft to directions of rotation and axial perpendicularity.
