PURPOSE: A method for controlling a multi-compartment type storage is provided to efficiently run a compressor. CONSTITUTION: A method includes the steps of: a compressor operating step(S100) detecting temperature in a plurality of storage compartments, respectively, and controlling operation of the compressor according to the detected temperature; an operation controlling step(S200,S300) detecting temperature in a plurality of the storage compartments, respectively, and controlling opening and closing of valves, if the compressor is run in the compressor actuating step; and a pressure balancing step(S400) balancing pressure in a refrigerant channel after the operation controlling step.
