The invention relates to a lighting appliance essentially comprised of one or more printed circuit boards (1), which are provided, at least on one side, with a multitude of individual luminous means (2). The printed circuit boards (1) form the base body of the lighting appliance, which have a very low height, in particular, when using SMD LED's. The long serviceable life of the luminous means (2) used advantageously renders it unnecessary to change them, whereby advantageously enabling the printed circuit boards (1), together with the luminous means (2), to be enclosed by a hardened casting compound. |
