The device, method and program structure are for storage and maintenance of knowledge applications and involve user in a computer session feeding in a hierarchic structure or capacitive information at different levels of such a structure. The computer has a program structure which during the session converts the input data into a knowledge base. On a user interface, a main display screen is provided which on its left-hand side has three part screens which form the knowledge structure, by defining an entity structure in the entity structure part screen, the entity appearance in the entity appearance part screen, the attribute structure in the attribute structure part screen. The right-hand part of the main screen has the knowledge attributes, which belong to a specific entity appearance in the knowledge attribute part screen.
