CABIN AIR TEMPERATURE CONTROL WITH COOLING OF RECIRCULATED AIR

A cabin air temperature control system (20) includes cooling recirculated air. A first air circuit (28) includes an intake (30) that receives air from outside the cabin (22) and then conditions the air to bring it closer to a desired cabin temperature before the air is introduced into the cabin (22). A second air circuit recirculates air from the cabin (22) and reintroduces it back into the cabin (22). The second circuit (60) includes an air cooling assembly (66), comprising a heat exchanger, that is selectively used to cool the recirculated air before it is reintroduced into the cabin (22). A bypass flow arrangement is provided to selectively direct the recirculated air trough the air cooling assembly (66) or to simply recirculate it back into the cabin (22) depending on the current temperature adjustment needs.
