PURPOSE: To prevent an increase in lead-wire fitting resistance in a metal graphite brush that contains a metallic-sulfide solid lubricant but does not contain lead. CONSTITUTION: A brush body 4 of the metal graphite brush 2 is formed of a commutator side member 6 that contains graphite, copper and a metallic- sulfide solid lubricant, and a lead-wire embedding member 8 that contains graphite and copper but does not contain a metallic-sulfide solid lubricant. A lead wire 10 is fitted to the lead-wire embedding member 8 that does not contain a metallic-sulfide solid lubricant.
