PURPOSE: An MPEG(Moving Picture Expert Group) transport decoder is provided to reduce time required for section filtering by progressing section filtering to all sections in parallel in the case that a plurality of sections are inserted into one packet. CONSTITUTION: A packet data FIFO(First-In First-Out)(302) stores packet data having inserted section data. A main block(301) formed of a RISC(Reduced Instruction Set Computer) engine confirms a start position of a first section in the packet stored at the packet data FIFO. A section filter(303) stores a start position of a first section in the packet output from the main block. The section filter reads a header value of the section corresponding to the start position from the packet data FIFO, and compares the read head value with preliminarily stored header values of sections to be received by a user, so that the section filter outputs the result to the main block. The main block decides whether the newly received section is stored or not according to the comparison result of the section filter. |
