The invention relates to a scale preventive formulation (A) in the form of a tablet that is used for the upkeep of dishwashers and/or crockery therein. The inventive formulation comprises an acid scale preventive agent having a melting point that is at least equal to 80 DEG C and a solubility of at least 15g/l in municipal water at the supply temperature thereof. Said formulation is made up of two components and takes the form of a two- or multi-layered tablet consisting of a scale preventive part comprising the scale preventive formulation (A) and a washing part.
