<p>The connector is used in the mining and the metallurgical industries for driving of machines having considerable inertia mass and/or large initial resistive moments of resistance. It has a simplified and light-weight design which reduces the wearing of the internal surfaces on which the balls run, The connector comprises a guiding (2) and a guided (1) section, including an external housing (3) having covers (5 and 6) fitted to it, and closely inserted an internal bushing (9) in it, on the inner surface (11) of which ring-shaped grooves (12) are machined. The guiding section (2) comprises a driving rotor (13), made of a hub (15) and working blades (16), fitted to hub (15), the space formed between it, the blades and the internal surface (11) of bushing (9) is divided into six chambers (18). They house an equal number of working medium (bodies) (19), fitted in the form of a tetrahedron in the ring-shaped grooves (12) of toroidal surface. The number of grooves (12) is determined by the mathematical relation wherein La is the active width of the connector (mm), and Rc is the radius of the balls (mm). 6 claims, 4 figures</p> |
