The method relates to the processing of continuous video images from a camera unit (20) consisting of a plurality of camera lenses (21a-c). Firstly, at least three visual images are captured using respective camera lenses. These images are synchronised and arranged to allow for panoramic viewing and recording of a particular scene. The recorded images are then converted into digital format for processing. Processing is done using suitable computer software programs. Then, the images are combined and stitched to form the panoramic image programme for viewing by the user. The user is provided with controls to control the panoramic image, and in the case of a prerecorded programme, will be provided with controls to adjust the speed and sequence of segments of the programme.
