METHOD FOR GIVING EXPERT ESTIMATION OF SHOT DISTANCE FROM WOUND CANAL PROFILE

FIELD: forensic medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves examining bullet entrance and exit canal openings and wound canal profile in flat bones produced when shooting from various distances. Sizes increase of exit openings and axial cross-section angle value is determined in conic wound canals when increasing shot distance. Axial cross-section angle of conic wound canal is calculated from entrance and exit canal opening sizes and flat bone thickness and shot distance is determined from the obtained results.
