METHOD FOR STRAIGHTENING CYLINDRICAL BLANKS

FIELD: processes for mechanically straightening cylindrical blanks, possibly at making barrels of sportive hunter's guns. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing blank onto supports and realizing its elasto-plastic bending by applying to blank effort directed to side opposite relative to its initial curvature in plane passing through lengthwise axis of blank. Blanks are straightened by multiple bending on base 200 -400 mm; at first bending stage excess bending is realized by 25 -30% of designed bending of blank. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of straightening due to provision of preset rectilinearity of blank. 4 dwg
