ALBUMIN EXPRESSION VECTOR, TRANSFORMED YEAST, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING RECOMBINANT HUMAN SERUM ALBUMIN

PURPOSE: An albumin expression vector, a transformed yeast, and a method for producing recombinant human serum albumin are provided, thereby producing the recombinant human serum albumin in higher yield without specific expression inducing condition or material. CONSTITUTION: The albumin expression vector pYHSA173(KCTC 10006BP) is constructed to be inserted into a region of the Hansenula polymorpha GAP gene, wherein 5'-UTR containing cDNA encoding albumin is connected to a GAP promoter derived from Hansenula polymorpha. A transformed yeast, Hansenula polymorpha DL1-L/G12 (KCTC 10007BP), is produced by transforming yeast with the albumin expression vector pYHSA173(KCTC 10006BP). The method for producing recombinant human serum albumin comprises culturing the transformed yeast Hansenula polymorpha DL1-L/G12 (KCTC 10007BP) in a medium containing 6%(w/v) of glycerol at pH 5.5 to 6.0.
