PURPOSE: A winding shell for a tire cord or belt cord is provided to improve the durability by forming a sheet layer with winding the sheet on a shaft member, and to prevent infiltration of bacteria and insects by using the waterproof, antiseptic and mothproof adhesive. CONSTITUTION: A contraction portion(2a) is formed by inclining and contracting an end of a rectangular metal pipe(2), and a reinforcing part is formed by mounting a reinforcement(2b) in the corner of the contraction portion. A flange(2c) having a rectangular hole is welded into the end of the reinforcing part, and spaced from a flange(2d). A space part is formed to expose the middle portion of the rectangular pipe by welding metal cylindrical tubes(1,1a) into flanges. A shaft member is formed by attaching an auxiliary flange(3) or charging a foaming resin filler, and the sheet is mounted to the shaft member without slip by spreading a pressure sensitive adhesive(6) on the sheet. A winding shell is manufactured by forming a sheet layer(5) with spreading a waterproof, antiseptic and mothproof adhesive(6a) between sheets.
