PURPOSE: To provide a motor stored in the inside of a spool, in which a space for forming various kinds of through holes can be secured at the main body side of a reel while miniaturizing the motor. CONSTITUTION: This motor 4 for an electric reel is stored in the inside of the spool 3 rotatably attached to the reel main body 2 of the electric reel and is used for rotating and driving the spool 3 in the winding direction of a fishing line. The motor 4 is equipped with a case member 36, a cap member 37, a revolving shaft 32, an armature 33 and a magnetic field system 31. The case member is a bottomed cylindrical member having an open base end. The cap member is fixed to the base end of the case member so as to close the opening and is a member having a diameter larger than the outer diameter of the case member. The revolving shaft is arranged protrusively from the tip of the case member and is rotatably fixed to the case member and the cap member. The armature is attached to the revolving shaft. The magnetic field system is fixed to the inner peripheral surface of the case member.
