PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can prepare a lithographic plate by replacing an ordinary transfer material, such as paper, with a conductive or semiconductive transfer material. SOLUTION: The apparatus is characterized in that it is provided with two transfer means. When a transfer material is an insulated material (15), a transfer corona (5) serving as a first transfer means is energized, and when a transfer material is a conductive or semiconductive transfer material (14), an electrode plate (4), serving as a second transfer means, and the transfer bias of a carrying roller (7) are energized, and switching between the first and second transfer means is carried out according to the properties of a transfer material. |
