PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for controlling the transfer of a mail, where real-time properties of mail is improved, and simultaneously any load associated with a transaction, such as storage and delivery control in a mail control device, can be reduced. SOLUTION: Above purpose is achieved with a method and a system for controlling the transfer of a mail, where it is decided whether or not another communication terminal is a mobile terminal in its state capable of communication, and when the another communication terminal is decided as being a mobile terminal in its state capable of communication, calling connection between an originating mobile terminal and the another communication terminal is conducted, to directly transfer a mail from the originating mobile terminal to the another communication terminal, and when the another communication terminal is decided as not being a mobile terminal in its state capable of communication, a mail is transferred from the originating mobile terminal to a mail control device.
