PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit to return to the initial resistance after a polymeric positive temperature coefficient thermistor interrupts overcurrent, and minimize the recovery time. SOLUTION: A polymeric positive temperature coefficient thermistor is fabricated by successively performing a polymer layer forming process into a sheet shape to form a crystalline polymer layer after kneading the crystalline polymer, conductive filler and additive, a sample forming process forming the electrodes on the upper side and lower side of the crystalline polymer layer to form a sample, a sample dividing process dividing the sample into the side of a unit element, the first heat-treating process heat-treating each divided sample, a cross-linking process irradiating each sample that is heat-treated first with an electron beam to cross-link the polymer chain in the crystalline polymer layer, the second heat-treating process heat-treating each sample that is cross- linked, and a wiring joining process joining the wiring to the electrode of each sample that is heat-treated second. The polymer positive temperature coefficient thermistor and its fabrication method are constituted.
